Set it up in about five minutes.
UniAGI lets your AI assistant read your own course site — courses, the text of your materials, what is due, your marks and feedback, and staff announcements — and cite where each answer came from. It only reads.
UniAGI lets your AI assistant read your own university course site — your courses, the text of your materials, what is due, your marks and feedback, and staff announcements — and cite where each answer came from. It only reads. It cannot submit work, post, enrol, message anyone, or start a quiz.
UniAGI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any university.
Set it up (about five minutes)
- Create your UniAGI account. Go to your UniAGI account page and sign in with your email address; we email you a six-digit code. There is no password.
- Install the UniAGI Chrome extension and open it. On your account page, press Pair extension and type the code it shows into the extension.
- Sign in to your course site in the same Chrome, as you always do. The extension syncs your courses and deadlines within a few minutes, and every 30 minutes after that while Chrome is open; press Sync in the extension to do it now.
- Turn on materials sync in the extension if you want your AI to read the text of your course files. It shows you exactly what leaves your browser first, and you can turn it off again in the extension.
- Connect your AI. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, find UniAGI and press Connect. In ChatGPT (Plus, Pro, Business or Edu), add UniAGI as a connector. In Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code or an agent you built, add UniAGI as a remote MCP server and sign in when it opens the UniAGI login page. Everywhere, sign in with the same email and approve what your AI may read: course structure, materials, assessments, marks and feedback, announcements. You can connect more than one client and disconnect each separately.
What to ask
- "What's due in the next two weeks?"
- "Where was market segmentation covered, and which slides should I reread?"
- "What does the rubric for my report ask for, and what did my marker say?"
- "Prepare me for this week's tutorial."
- "Build me a brief for this course."
Your AI says when your data was last synced ("as of your last sync, Fri 3 Oct, 9:30 am") and names anything missing — a course that did not sync, a file with no readable text, a category you did not approve.
Things to know
- It is a copy, as of your last sync. UniAGI never checks the course site live. If something changed an hour ago, sync again from the extension.
- Only what you can open. Hidden items, other students' work, participant lists and quiz questions are never collected.
- Some things are not on the course site. Class times, census dates and anything hosted elsewhere are not in your copy; your AI points you to where to look.
- A file with no text (a scan, a video) is listed with its link rather than read.
If something looks wrong
| Your AI says | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| nothing is synced yet | the extension has not sent anything to your account | open the extension, check it is paired and you are signed in to your course site, press Sync |
| a category was not approved | your connection does not include it (a connection made before that category existed, for example) | disconnect UniAGI in your AI client and connect again |
| a course is missing | the last sync did not reach it | sync again; if it keeps happening, tell us which course |
| syncing is paused | you paused it, or we paused collection for everyone | press Resume on your account page; if we paused it, the extension shows why |
Your data
Your copy is encrypted with a key that unlocks only for your account. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train any model, and no person at UniAGI reads it. From your account page you can Disconnect an AI client or an extension, Pause syncing, Delete my data (destroys the encryption key and every synced copy; your sign-in stays) or Delete my account, at any time. The full policy is at uniagi.com.au/privacy.
